On Saturday, respected scholar and teacher, Yogi Amandeep Singh from Singapore, will lead us into the teachings of Baba Siri Chand, the eldest son of Guru Nanak, who was the most renowned yogi of his time and the founder of the major Udassi lineage. Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga and White Tantric Yoga, studied and meditated on the spirit of Baba Siri Chand and taught many of his meditations and yoga asanas, several of which Amandeep Singh will teach us. Last Fall, Sangeet Kaur led many from the Phoenix Sangat on a spiritual journey to India in large part to take a four-day Baba Siri Chand course with Amandeep Singh at Anandpur Sahib. A beautiful soul-link was sparked between these two inspirational teachers and as a result, Amandeep Singh is bringing the highlights of that course to Phoenix. It is rare for Amandeep Singh to teach in America, so it is a blessing to all of us that he will be teaching so close to home in Phoenix. On Sunday, Amandeep Singh will focus on the Sufi tradition, and will include Yogi Bhajan’s teachings and stories of the Sufis and yoga science. This is an essential study in Naad Yoga –the yoga of sound current– where we can achieve high meditative states and experience what Sufis call the “no-self.” We encourage each and every one of you who love Kundalini Yoga, and especially those of you who are curious about Kundalini Yoga to come and learn the history (much of this history is not taught in Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training) and experience teachings from “the early days.” Space is limited so call and register now.
