A statue of Baba Siri Chand -one of many that Yogi Bhajan had.
This is one of Yogi Bhajan’s favorite statues of Baba Siri Chand. This one is made of bronze and is about four feet (1.2 meters) tall. Baba Siri Chand is sitting meditating in a beautiful gazebo built just for him. The gazebo is next to the gurdwara near Yogi Bhajan’s home in Española, New Mexico, USA.
The Roots of Yoga and Meditation in Udassi & Sufi Traditions
Taught by Yogi Amandeep Singh (Singapore)
with Senior Trainer Sangeet Kaur Khalsa (Phoenix)

Saturday July 17th, 9 am – 5 pm
Sunday July 18th, 2:30 – 5:30 pm
Location: Yoga Phoenix, 9th Street and Oak Street, Phoenix Arizona
Fee: $140 for both days ($108 for Saturday only, $54 for Sunday only)

Yoga Phoenix and The Healing Source invite you to join us for a day and a half of expanding our knowledge and experience of Kundalini Yoga through the history and legends of Baba Siri Chand, one of the world's greatest yogis, and Yogi Bhajan’s teachings of the Sufis and “Naad Yoga”. This will be a fun and invaluable seminar for all of us who teach, practice or love Kundalini Yoga!

On Saturday, respected scholar and teacher, Yogi Amandeep Singh from Singapore, will lead us into the teachings of Baba Siri Chand, the eldest son of Guru Nanak, who was the most renowned yogi of his time and the founder of the major Udassi lineage. Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga and White Tantric Yoga, studied and meditated on the spirit of Baba Siri Chand and taught many of his meditations and yoga asanas, several of which Amandeep Singh will teach us.

Last Fall, Sangeet Kaur led many from the Phoenix Sangat on a spiritual journey to India in large part to take a four-day Baba Siri Chand course with Amandeep Singh at Anandpur Sahib. A beautiful soul-link was sparked between these two inspirational teachers and as a result, Amandeep Singh is bringing the highlights of that course to Phoenix. It is rare for Amandeep Singh to teach in America, so it is a blessing to all of us that he will be teaching so close to home in Phoenix.

On Sunday, Amandeep Singh will focus on the Sufi tradition, and will include Yogi Bhajan’s teachings and stories of the Sufis and yoga science. This is an essential study in Naad Yoga –the yoga of sound current– where we can achieve high meditative states and experience what Sufis call the “no-self.”
During both days, Amandeep Singh and Sangeet Kaur will also present a remarkable meditative sound collaboration, playing the yogic conch and the symphonic gong.

We encourage each and every one of you who love Kundalini Yoga, and especially those of you who are curious about Kundalini Yoga to come and learn the history (much of this history is not taught in Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training) and experience teachings from “the early days.”
No yoga experience is necessary, just bring a note pad, pen and your curiosity!

Space is limited so call and register now.
