About Us

The Healing Source, llc has been dedicated to teaching and providing complementary healing modalities for the body, mind, and spirit since 1987. We are based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Over these many years we have strived diligently to establish an excellent reputation as teachers and healers. Our basic services are diverse:

Womanheart® Healing Retreats for Women are twice-yearly four-day retreats developed by our founder Ms. Sangeet Kaur Khalsa in 1991. During the Retreats the participants use a combination of Kundalini Yoga and meditation, and Sangeet-developed personal introspection and exploration techniques. Women come from across the country and beyond to attend these special and unique Retreats. It is common for women to return two or three times and bring their daughters and friends.

Reiki Healing Therapy sessions are available in person or long distance from the Healing Source staff and our growing community of healers. We have many letters on file from grateful clients affirming the powerful effects of our healing work.

Reiki Healing Training classes include Reiki First Degree, Reiki Second Degree, Reiki Third Degree, and Master Training programs. Reiki training classes are offered monthly with Reiki Master-Trainer Sangeet Kaur Khalsa and assisted by Ms. Guru Simran Kaur. We have been conducting top quality classes for more than a decade and have developed an excellent reputation for thoroughness and excellence that draws students from across the country.

Spiritual Counseling with Sangeet enables people to get to the cause of an issue quickly and make rapid change that is both effective and lasting. Sangeet has a unique gift of being able to "reach" someone regardless of circumstances or background. She adeptly uses a combination of NLP techniques, Starcode of Destiny insights into each soul's journey, yoga, meditation, and even breath techniques to give a person real tools for growth. Her clients include people from all walks of life and across the country. Sessions are in person or by phone.

Kundalini Yoga Classes are taught weekly by Sangeet and Hari Nam Singh, each with 20+ years of experience. The classes are fun, energetic, inspiring, and support a daily yoga practice. The highlight-class each month is a one-hour gong meditation which regularly draws people from across the metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona area.

Starcode of Destiny™ workshops were developed by Sangeet and based on yoga numerology taught by Yogi Bhajan in the early 1980s. Sangeet has used the basics of this system for almost 20 years in her counseling practice and has refined and deepened the system, presenting it as a series of powerful and enjoyable workshops.

About our founder, Ms. Sangeet Kaur Khalsa

In the Spring of 2000 Sangeet was presented with the coveted "Healer of the Year" award by Arizona's top YWCA. It was a wonderful tribute to someone who has dedicated her life to the healing and spiritual upliftment of women as well as men for all social and ethnic backgrounds.

This award affirms the vision that Sangeet had back in 1987 when she founded The Healing Source, llc in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The Healing Source was initially built on Sangeet's unique combination of skills. Part of those skills stemmed from her diverse 25 year background in business, where she served as a top executive in Fortune 10 corporations in New York City. Other skills include over 20 years of extensive training in the ancient science of Kundalini Yoga and meditation under the direction of world renowned Yoga Master Yogi Bhajan. Sangeet is also adept in a modern form of behavioral counseling known as Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP as it has become popularly known.

Not long after her arrival in Phoenix, Sangeet's expertise as a teacher of yoga, meditation and women's studies quickly became known throughout Arizona. Her counseling skills were called upon to such a degree that she went on to complete her training as a master counselor in NLP. She became acquainted with Reiki at that time and studied to become an energy healer as an adjunct to her counseling practice.

Within a few months after becoming a Reiki Second Degree practitioner, her recovery from a serious personal injury and her use of Reiki to treat the near-death illness of a friend demonstrated to Sangeet the miraculous healing potential of Reiki and the important role it would play in her life. Convinced that virtually anyone could be taught to use this healing therapy for themselves and others, Sangeet studied for more than a year to become certified as a Reiki Master-Trainer so that she could help others heal themselves.

Then in 1991, Sangeet embarked on the third and perhaps the most important step of her new life. She was inspired to create what would become her signature program as a teacher: Womanheart® Healing Retreats for Women. This began as a series of workshops focusing on women's teachings, couched in the ancient yogic traditions and using simple yet effective yoga and meditations to heal basic issues. It soon grew to become live-in retreats held in cozy locales around scenic Arizona - from the pleasant hills just north of Phoenix, to the Red Rock country of Sedona, to the lush desert of the Catalina Mountains North of Tucson.

Over the years, many hundreds of women have attended these retreats. Course participants arrive with a variety of life experiences, ranging in age from 15 to 84 and hailing from across the U.S.

In addition to the retreats held twice a year in Arizona, Sangeet has gone on to teach Womanheart® seminars from Boston, Massachusetts to the island of Maui in Hawaii. In late 1997 in Brisbane, Australia, Sangeet held her first mini-retreat outside the U.S.

In 2002, Sangeet published her long-anticipated first book, "Womanheart® - Healing Our Relationships, Loving Ourselves." Its pages bring to life the core of her teachings through stories of the hundreds of people she has counseled who epitomize the challenges all women face and the greater promise they can live.

Our future lies in continuing this outreach through books and videos, larger and more numerous retreats, and a growing corps of healing professionals who spread the light and love to thousands of others.
